Quotation Process
Paul designed the garden for us after we initially reached out via the simple website form. He visited our garden and chatted us through what we wanted and made lots of design recommendations for us. Shortly after the visit (maybe 2-3 days), they provided a 17 page quote pdf with diagrams and a full breakdown of the spend in layman’s terms. Quotes provided by other companies were given to us on an unformatted word document with technical item numbers without much context or any visuals.
The level of professionalism and detail within the initial quote was a key reason for us in selecting Atlantes over their competitors.

Communications
About 2 weeks after we agreed on our final quote (we had asked for 2 - one with bedding plants and one without), we signed our contract and were introduced to our project manager. He then provided a provisional start date which was actually earlier than expected - although in the range Paul mentioned during the quotation process. I feel it is worth mentioning that we got several other quotes done and all of them emphasised to us that we would have to wait at least 6-8 months wherever we went and Atlantes went from quote to completion in less than 4.
The only real negative I have to say about Atlantes is in relation to their invoicing consistency. In the contract it stated clear invoicing dates and amounts which were not kept to. We were invoiced in succession just before work started (later than expected). This did not impact us at all but I think is something they should improve.
Following the project, Denise, their Strategy Director, reached out to make an appointment to visit us to discuss our experience, gather feedback and perform a quality check. We found this to be a very professional touch and reassured us that any further work we would ever need would be going to Atlantes.

Execution
The execution of the garden work was exceptional, both the quality and the attention to detail was to the highest standards.
The team worked through some awful rain and still continued to progress unimpaired. The team were all very friendly and gave us regular updates.
We adore the final result of our new garden, I have attached before and after pictures but is worth noting the planting is our work and not Atlantes. We would highly recommend Atlantes for any landscaping work.

Paul and his team installed us a complete new driveway, along with additional works.

In the 5 weeks the job took, We had no problems at all.

Joe, who did the project management visited us 3 times a week, and nothing was to much trouble for him.

From initial concept, through material selection to final design Paul was very helpful and brought out some great ideas.
The building work was undertaken with great care for the surroundings and was kept very much to timescale and cost estimate.

Paul came out to quote for rebuilding a garden wall and building a set of brick steps. We had several quotes and decided to use the company as Paul reassured us that the work would be done exactly as we wanted; to tie in with the surrounding brickwork & lime mortar.

The job was started 2 months after the agreed start date and Paul outsourced the work to a bricklayer that he hadn’t used for any previous work. The work was completed to a reasonable standard, however the new brickwork does not match any of the existing brickwork, which was the reason we hired Paul in the first place.

The bricklayer damaged one of our existing steps, I asked if this would be rectified and Paul said that he would come back to repair the step, we have been waiting 10 weeks and have had no response to the many messages we have sent.

All in all, the work was overpriced (compared to the other quotes we had), the attention to detail was lacking and there was little/no attempt to rectify the issues we have had.

Paul and his team are so professional. We were impressed right from the start, first with the very detailed estimate right through to the work being completed. Darren, Joe and Rob worked so hard despite some really challenging weather and the quality of their work was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always quick to explain what they were doing and ask if we had any questions. We count ourselves very lucky to have had them complete our terrace and would certainly have them back again if we needed any work doing. We would definitely recommend the team.

Paul is the consummate proffessional. Prompt, so friendly and with an amazing work ethic. We had recieved many quotes for the work on our garden but as soon as we met Paul we knew he was the man for the job. From receiving the quote swiftly after our initial meeting, to him suggesting other ideas in addition to ours whilst being mindful of our budget, and reassuring us as to planning issues and even suggesting to come over on a Sunday as he knew I was worrying. His colleague Darren was also fabulous. They worked like trojans and what they managed to achieve in the time they were here was quite outstanding. They turned a useless boggy corner of our garden to a beautiful and so so solid and sturdy living/party space. They were tidy and never late and on top of that were very patient with my young son who loved nothing more than trying to 'help'.
We are beyond thrilled with the work and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him wholeheartedly. A great guy, a talented and hard working team and a beautiful result. You get what you pay for and we couldn't be happier with what we have now got! It's made the house.
